Meet our Staff


Daron Schenk

Owner/ President

After high school, Daron attended college in Iowa, and then returned to the area to work in the oil and propane industry for another local propane company before opening his own business in August 1986. He is experienced and knowledgeable about the propane industry and was driven to start his own business. At Tri County Propane, you will still find the owner in the driver's seat!
 
Daron resides on an acreage just outside of Irene with his girlfriend, Kim.  In his free time he enjoys spending time at his home in Platte, fishing, boating, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Cody Schenk

Cody joined our team in 2020 after being in the corporate world elsewhere for 4 years.  Cody runs the daily operations for Tri County Propane & Tri County Distribution.  He is proudly certified in 5 categories in the National Propane Gas Association Training Program.  Cody has grown up at Tri County Propane, and spent much of his childhood as a passenger in the Tri County Propane truck with his dad Daron. 
 
He resides in Ponca, NE with his wife, Hannah and two daughters, Lainey & Lennon.  In his free time he enjoys fishing, camping with family, and watching Minnesota Vikings football.

Suzanne Torgerson

Officer Manager

Suzanne has been with Tri County Propane since 2005 as our Office Manager.  Suzanne ensures our daily operations run smoothly throughout all aspects of the business. She is also likely the person you will talk to when calling our office.
 
In her free time Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and their son Sky. Together they enjoy camping, traveling, and cheering on the I-W Eagles & Minnesota Vikings.  Suzanne is activly involved in many events in the Irene community, and is a member of the Irene Community Development Corporation.

Mark Walkemeyer

Part-time Service & Repair

Mark has been an integral part of our company for the past 16 years.
 
Mark officially retired in December of 2019 but he continues to work part time for us. His contributions will always be valued and remembered. His hard work, commitment, and dedication are worthy of admiration.

Paul Ostrem

Driver

You will usually find Paul in the transport truck hauling beans, tile, propane, or fertilizer. When Paul is not in the truck, he enjoys camping, fishing, time with family or just visiting with people.

We welcomed Paul to the Tri-County family in 2019. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication Paul, we are proud to have you a part of our team.
